I was a little wary of jumping into this because Book 1 was a little tough to get through. A Very Fake Boyfriend is so much better.
Shay is not looking forward to her stepsister's wedding. After all, her evil stepsibling is marrying her cheating ex. But her mom is insisting that she attends, so what better way to stick it to the happy couple than by bringing a gorgeous billionaire?
Zane is totally in for Shay's request to be her fake wedding date, but the CFO is not THAT charitable. He wants payment in the form of a fake relationship with benefits. It turns out their benefits are more long-term than they expected when a baby comes into the picture.
I really enjoyed this read. I am all about dishing it out to those who deserve it, and we certainly get that and more. Zane is a fun take on the billionaire who swears he would never fall (of course we know better). I love his arc from being the protective fake boyfriend to the loving partner.
Shay's family, however, stole the show for me. The lively bunch is certainly not shy in sharing their thoughts.

Like most women, I have way more shoes than I need, but it’s so hard to resist getting new ones. If you’ve read my books, you know I have an obsession with high heels, hence the photo at the top. At 5’9, I hardly need more height, and God knows I can’t walk like a lady with anything higher than 2 1/2 inches, but I drool all over them, and admire women who can rock heels. That’s why I live vicariously through my main female characters who wear 4 and even 5-inch heels with elegance and poise.
I hold two University degrees in two different languages from two of the two prestigious international business schools. Just like Sofia and Ciara, the main female characters of my first two romance books, I speak several languages.
Since publishing my first book, I’ve been blessed with an insanely awesome group of faithful readers. I love those ladies so much. Their passion for my books makes the very, very long hours rewarding.
