Marni Mann brings her A-game to the fourth installment of the Dalton Family series, and she does not miss a beat by creating sexy alpha-hole Declan. This brilliant litigator just joined the Dalton Group, and as part of his on-boarding process, he is assigned to mentor an intern. Something he is not thrilled about.
He is even less thrilled when he finds out that his intern is no other than one-night stand/law student Hannah. While Declan is usually a "hit it and quit it" kind of guy, Hannah is the one who seems to plague his mind constantly since that night. Now that she's here and in constant close proximity, Declan cannot seem to shake his thoughts, his feelings from the young intern.
This is probably my favorite book in this series so far. While I adore Hannah and her sassiness, it is Declan and his entertaining fall from bachelorhood grace that steal the show. I thoroughly enjoyed the arc from how much he tried to resist his attraction to how he eventually comes to terms with it. See, Declan, was it really THAT hard? (No, not that kind of hard.)
The spice in this book is as advertised. These pages are scorching hot; they ought to be handled with mitts. These spicy moments prove even further that Declan certainly knows how to use his mouth for more than litigation.
This fourth installment can be read as a standalone, but you do get cameos from the main characters in previous books. If you are into super-spicy enemies-to-lovers workplace romance, add this one to your TBR.
