I always love ending the year on a good note, and thanks to Natasha Madison, I ended the year on a fantastic note.
Hockey team doctor Chase and social worker Julia have been dancing around each other for years. It does not help that their families are so close. When one of Julia's cases causes problems for her, Chase is compelled to take care of his long-time friend. Their proximity starts to bring suppressed feelings and attraction to surface.
This is my first read in this Natasha Madison book universe, and I am invested and in love. The entire clan is nuts, and I adore each and every one of them for it. I stan a great family who has each other's back, and I am stoked to get a lovely bonus of fun and witty banter.
The center of it all in this book is Chase and Julia, and they are too stinkin' cute. I love how protective he is without being overbearing..well, to Julia at least. I cannot vouch for the rest of the family. I fell in love with Julia in the first chapter with her caring personality, and I simply love how she is there for her sister and her sister's family.
These two are so incredibly wholesome, which is a nice balance to how spicy they are in the bedroom (and other places). Madison quickly establishes there is history of suppressed sexual tension and sets the wick alight to their love bomb from the very beginning. From there, every interaction just sizzles until we get to THOSE scenes and then the pages are on fire.
This is a great kick-off to the series, and I cannot wait for the next installment.
