June Porter just wants to get to her wildlife photography assignment, but she absolutely hates flying and now she has to deal with someone cold and unsympathetic as Carter Morelli.

There is more to Carter than meets the eye. Sure, he can fly a charter like the best of them, and yes, everyone is aware of his stunning good looks. There is also a cloud of mystery that no one has quite deciphered.

When their plane runs into engine trouble and has to crash-land on a deserted island, they find that they have plenty to deal with, including their attraction to each other.

August 19th cannot come soon enough for the next installment in this series. Skye Warren and Amelia Wilde bring the right amount of intrigue to keep readers craving for more details. Even in a short read, the world-building, the character development, and the romance are all spot-on. The tension between Carter and June rises the temperature so well that it makes you wonder whether it was the cause of the plane failure.

There are no spicy scenes, though Carter's imagination is enough to keep ours in the hot zone.

This is a prequel novella to Warren and Wilde's upcoming book, Force of Nature, and it is well worth the read.
