BOOKWORM REVIEW: Wright Rival by K.A. Linde

I love a great love story between two rivals who just are at each other's throats every chance they get that everyone around them will strangle them if they don't strangle each other first. Maybe the Wrights, Medina, and Abbeys are not as violent, but I bet they're thinking it when Hollins Abbey and Piper Medina start bickering.

Hollins is a cousin and vineyard partner to Jordan and Julian Wright. He oversees the business aspect of the vineyard, which puts him at odds with Piper who is counterpart at Sinclair Winery. The Medina Family has been the owners of the Sinclair vineyard, and Piper is its business and R&D genius. Their constant banter is pretty much an entertaining sideshow for their mutual friends, but with the two vineyards entering a prestigious contest, the tension has been ramped up a few notches.

It does not help that Piper has finally broken up with her boyfriend, with whom she had very little chemistry. How could he compete when the room practically sizzles with Piper and Hollins in close vicinity?

Poor Hollins is clearly misunderstood. Everyone, including his family and friends, has pegged him to be a playboy when he apparently has unresolved issues. He is hardly a villain. Sure, he is cocky and sometimes aggravating to Piper more so than others, but he is also a charming people person and has a kind heart. I love that Piper is the key to uncovering his many layers.

Their connection was sizzling from the get-go with the borrowed shirt. Light touches, uttered words could easily have easily set my Kindle aflame. 

This book is part of a series about the Wright Vineyard and an even more robust series about the Wrights. This is my first Wright book, so I can speak to how well this book can stand by itself. K.A. Linde does a great job in introducing the Wrights from previous books without being overwhelming. 

If you love enemies-to-lovers or rivals-to-lovers with lots of spice, this is a great book to pick up.
