I know there are new Greene Family books coming out, but the feeling of happy goodbye kept going through me as I was reading this book.

Chevelle Greene is intent on being her own person. A feat made difficult by being in a big blended family, she manages to make strides with her goal by building her fishing tour company from the ground up. Her success leaves no room for what she deems as unimportant, such as love.

Cameron Baker has loved Chevelle for as long as he can think of. But being the best friend of her brother is certainly a big obstacle to him making his feelings known. It does not help that he is under a lot of pressure to eventually fill his dad's shoes as the owner of their family marina. When his dad cuts him off, he suddenly finds himself living with Chevelle AND is forced by his dad to compete with her business.

Piper and Rayne bring their full literary arsenal into this story, giving a great balance of comedy, drama, romance, and sexy. The chemistry that has been brewing between Cam and Chevelle over several books is finally boiling over, and the payoff for the wait is so, so worth it.

I love each and both of them so much. Cam may be easygoing, but he also has a protective side when it comes to his childhood crush. I adore him even more because he is also respectful of her independence. I want to hug Chevelle fiercely for dealing with the guilt and heartache, but I am also so proud of her for being a boss lady.

This book can be read as a standalone, though Piper and Rayne do bring back the rest of the Greene clan. They give enough context for the characters, so if you are new to this world, you won't get lost. I highly recommend starting from the beginning as I am certain you will fall in love with Greene Family as much as I did.

Now, his parents have cut him off to force him to prove himself. I never thought he’d open a competing business to mine. So, I do what I do best, shove all my feelings aside and ready myself to crush him. Game on.
