BOOKWORM REVIEW: Dr. Off Limits by Louise Bay

Sutton did not really want to go on this date, but her friend Parker thought she needed one last hurrah after working so hard to get her medical degree and before jumping into her residency. 

So here she is, about to meet someone who is about to leave for a rotation in Doctors without Borders. Parker definitely did not let her down. Sutton has a great time during dinner and especially after.

When she reports to work on her first day, it turns out that one of the attendings overseeing her residency is none other than Dr. One Night Stand.

Jacob Cove was supposed to only have dinner with his brother's blind date. He most certainly did not expect to enjoy his time with Sutton. When she shows up at the hospital where he works and ends up in his rotation group, he struggles to keep his no-dating-coworkers rule.

This was a brilliant and beautiful read. I love the easy chemistry between Jacob and Sutton, and while this book does have its ups and downs when it comes to drama, the overall read was pretty low-angst. It also does not lack spicy moments, which is fantastic.

This is the first book in the series, and it does a great job of building the foundation for the subsequent books. I love the ensemble cast, which mostly consists of Jacob's siblings. His parents, however, stole the show for me. This was a refreshing take on the "My parents were successful doctors" trope.

I highly recommend picking this up especially if you're into medical romance. I am already counting down to the next book in the series.
