This was another wonderful visit to the Twisted Vines universe. 

Stella wanted one fun night. Divorced from a lousy ex who won't leave her alone, dealing with a teenage boy on her own, and about to start a new job, she just wanted one exciting escape from her reality. It turns out that her one fun night may be her one big regret as her one-night stand turned out to be Trevor, her new boss.

Trevor also has a lot on his plate. Keeping his team alive from the cyber syndicate has become a whole lot harder when the woman that has held this Casanova's attention for more than a night has now become part of their security firm. 

I just love, love, love, love this reverse age gap read. As someone who is in the same age range as Stella and has similar responsibilities, I could totally relate to her stresses and confidence issues. Enter the man who lifts her up, isn't afraid to be honest, and can get along with her son Ethan. She and Trevor complement each other well emotionally and physically. And boy, did they work together well physically.

Isabel Jolie always does a great job of balancing the love story with the action and suspense that have spanned across the series. Speaking of, this may be part of the Twisted Vines series, but it absolutely can be read as a standalone.
