Oh, what a tangled web Alistair Wolfe has weaved for himself. Things get even more complicated for the Alpana Island mayor when a certain mysterious blue-haired nymph comes into his life. 

Cora Astor has her own share of secrets when she landed on this small town. She didn't expect the man that rocked her world would be her new boss. 

This book solidifies Alistair Wolfe's place in the list of deliciously bad book boyfriends. He is unapologetically ruthless with only one weakness: the attraction to Cora that he cannot seem to shake off. I live for the "I hate everyone in the world but you" trope, and Sav R. Miller writes them so well.

This dark read has the best ingredients: super-spicy romance, edge-of-your-seat suspense, and fast-paced action. Inspired by the story of Apollo and Daphne, I especially enjoyed the Easter egg references to the myth. 

This is the fourth book in Miller's Monster and Muses series. While we go get cameo appearances by characters from previous books, this book can be read as a standalone.

If you are a dark romance fan, this is a must-read. However, if you are new to dark books, please make sure you check the content warnings at the beginning of the book.
