Helloooo, Mr. Wild!
What I love about Elle Nicoll's series is that while there is some overlap in the different worlds she builds, each world brings us something new and unique.
Blake Anderson -- brother to Book 1's Mr. Anderson -- lives in Hope Cove, a small town that straddles the ocean and mountains. Perfect for Mr. Wild, a TV celebrity who guides viewers on how to survive nature. His survivalist lifestyle is not the only thing that is wild; his guarded heart has yet to be tamed, and it isn't for the lack of effort by his fangirls.
It seems Mr. Wild's heart was never for grabs anyways. It was given to someone a long time ago back, and that woman is back in town.
Daisy is here to get some closure from losing her aunt and selling the house she spent most of her childhood in. She also has a secret back in London that she's running away from, and Hope Cove provides a safe haven for her. What she did not count on is running into and possibly rekindling the sparks she once shared with Mr. Wild.
Elle Nicoll does a fantastic job of creating relatable and lovable characters. Blake is confident and strong, but kind and self-aware. Daisy may think she's broken, but underneath is a sassy, creative goddess. I love that she eventually comes to that realization with Blake's support.
The element of suspense that I enjoyed in Book 1 is back in this book, and I am here for it.
