BOOKWORM REVIEW: My Demon Romance by Aurora Ascher

Demon romance has never been so hot.

This prequel short read kicks off the Hell Bent series, and it understood, completed, and rocked its assignment.

Eli is sent on a mission on Earth to create some havoc among investors. He is bored out of his mind while hanging out with superficial, pretentious capital venturists, so he makes an excuse to see the mysterious woman at the bar. Too bad, Nat is as sassy as she is beautiful, and she wants nothing to do with him.

After a furious exchange, these two started making out, which then leads to a spicy car scene. Too bad, Eli is stuck in the monotonous business of soul-claiming.  Or is he?

This novella just slaps so hard like a demon is spanking your behind. The chemistry between these two makes up for the insta-lust, and it is also remedied by the gradual connection these two make throughout the book.  Don't get me twisted, though; the intimate moments are still spicy as hell. 😏

If you love demon romance or are trying to dip a toe into the pool of monster romance, this is a perfect starter read. It is funny, witty, steamy, and short enough to get you interested in the series.

ABOUT THE BOOK

A romance writer and a demon from Hell. What could go wrong?

Eligos is bored. He’s a powerful Duke of Hell tasked with manipulating deceitful humans to claim their souls for the underworld, blah, blah, blah, but all he cares about is escaping the eternal monotony that is his life.

It’s not until he meets the lively, passionate Natalie, who writes love stories about misunderstood monsters for a living, that he finds himself intrigued by something for the first time in centuries. Though it jeopardizes his carefully laid escape plans and puts him in the sights of Hell’s dangerous Hunter, there’s no way Eligos can resist her.

But he’s supposed to be the villain in this tale… and villains don’t get happy endings, right?
