Having read a few Laura Pavlov books now, I love how she incorporates a loving and supportive family -- blood or chosen -- into her main character' stories.

In Sealed, the fourth book in the Willow Springs series, we get a tale of two families. Coco, one-fifth of the Magic Willows, just broke up with her pickle-smelling beau for getting too attached and is looking for someone hot to stand in as Big sexy for her sister's wedding. Though she is fiercely independent and sassy, Coco struggles with playing second fiddle to her attention-seeking sister and not getting the same love and affection from her parents as her sister does.

New bar owner Roman Amato fits the bill for Coco's fake Big Sexy. He's handsome, broody, and quick-witted. Like Coco, he keeps his heart guarded and leave it open only to his family, including his young, charming son Valentino.

When Roman ends up agreeing to a deal with Coco to be her fake wedding boyfriend, these two found that they were better matched for each other than they thought.

I enjoyed reading the progression of their relationship from bickering nemeses to supportive friends to passionate lovers. Laura Pavlov sets their path in a way that feels natural and draws a strong empathy to their inner struggles and insecurities.

Their chemistry was already 🔥 from the get-go. I really liked their flirty banter, setting off a hot smolder in the early chapters. Every engagement between these two from then on just slowly feeds the fire.
