Derek Reiner has intrigued me. He has frustrated me. Now he has me fully invested in #TeamDerek.
The progression of Derek and Allegra's relationship over the course of three books has been a great and enjoyable journey.
Book One was an introduction; we learn about the dynamic between our main characters and the challenges and adversities they face as individuals and as a couple.
Book Two was about Allegra's development. It was about her finding a voice and courage to advocate for herself and what she wants out of life (not what others want for her).
Book Three is all about Derek's growth. He stands in front of two different paths: a future with Allegra and a future without. The former would require A LOT OF WORK, and you know what? I love this take of Derek climbing that proverbial mountain to get to the woman he loves.
This has been a wild ride, and I am glad Gina Azzi brought us along for it.
