BOOKWORM REVIEW: Make Me Yours by Tia Louise

This was a fun single-parent romance in a small-town summer read for me.

On paper, Remington Key's life should be the envy of anyone. Tech billionaire who retired from the military to focus on his family. Unfortunately, not everything is what it seems, and Remi is struggling to juggle family and business, especially with his monster-in-law breathing down his neck. 

Enter Ruby Banks. The younger child therapist's life is not going so well on paper and in actuality. Her private practice is not doing too hot, she lives with her parents, and her dating life..is just as much of a mess.

She and Remi hooked up at first, but decided to keep it professional when Remi hires her as his daughter's nanny. What has been ignited cannot be squelched, however, and the two struggle with their mutual attraction to each other. 

This was really a low-angst, straightforward love story. It definitely has instant vibes, which balanced nicely with the fast pace. That worked well for me in a one-sitting kind of read. I really liked the chemistry between Remi and Ruby. Ruby, I feel you on why Remington Key would be one tempting bossman. Remi's daughter Lillie does play a prominent role in this book -- for those who are not into kids-in-romance. But if you don't mind them, she rounds out a fun dynamic with our main characters.

Tia Louise reads never lack for spice, and we get a good helping of that in this standalone read.
