BOOKWORM REVIEW: The Good Girl by Nikki Sloane

I love a great redemption arc.

Sydney has lived under her strict parents' thumb for too long. It did not help that they have buckled down even more since her brother Colin has been essentially shunned for working in the adult movie industry.

Sydney wants to break free, though. She doesn't necessarily want to follow in her brother's footsteps, but she wants liberation in every way.

Enter Preston. Colin's best friend and Sydney's crush. He is the perfect road to freedom -- including the physical parts that she oh-so-craved -- and making her parents angry is just a lovely bonus. Will he go for it though?

Um, YES PLEASE! This Nashville neighborhood may be one of the raunchiest, but all in the good ways. Sydney and Preston add their own blend of tension and chemistry to the block with their fake relationship. Why not add a little education from one of the most experienced man she knows? As we seasoned romance readers know, the line between pretend and real starts to blur, and when Nikki Sloane serves us serious heat between the bad boy and the good girl? It. Delivers.

This spicy read can be a standalone, but we get mentions and cameos of characters from previous books.

If you are starting to miss the heat as we transition into cooler weather, this will certainly have you fanning.

** I am voluntarily reviewing an advance copy of this book. Thank you to Nikki Sloane and Valentine PR and Literary Management for providing an ARC. **

ABOUT THE BOOK

What are you supposed to do when your best friend's little sister—a classic good girl—asks you to help her go bad?

You should say no.

You shouldn't pretend to date her so she can piss off her parents.

You definitely shouldn't agree to take her virginity and show her all the experiences she's been missing out on.

And you really shouldn't keep it a secret from her brother, the one who's your best friend and business partner.

But I don't always make the best choices. In fact, I can be kind of a dick sometimes.

And I know if I don't do it, someone else will . . . and I can't have that. If anything, it means I get to be the good guy for once.

I just wasn't prepared for how gifted this good girl would be at going bad.
