Millie has had the worst run when it comes to dating. More like a therapist instead of a girlfriend, the wedding planner "fixes" her exes' issues only for someone else to benefit from her efforts. Now she is planning her most recent ex-boyfriend's wedding.
When she is fending off a creep while drowning her sorrows at a Manhattan bar, a gorgeous older man comes to her rescue. After some intense flirtation, they end up in his room, culminating in the spiciest night of Millie's life. The following day, they part ways thinking it will be the last they see each other.
They were wrong.
It turns out that Zach is the father that Millie's ex-boyfriend never knew about until recently. Now that they are trying to reconnect, Zach will be around more often. While they try to keep things professional, their chemistry seems to have other ideas. Fun, hot, spicy ideas. Can they keep their attraction in check to avoid any awkwardness with Zach's son?
The sexual chemistry between Zach and Millie alone earned those stars. Melanie Harlow does a great job of dropping details to build their connection. The impatient desire, the mutual longing, all of it contribute to this amazing romance.
I also adore Millie. I love how she takes her childhood trauma and turns it around into body-positive confidence. The fact that she wants others like her to have a safe space as they search for a wedding dress? Yessss Queeeen!
If you have followed me for a while, you know I love a hot daddy with a dirty mouth. Zach is the epitome of a sexy older alpha-roll, and I am here for it.
This is the fourth book in the Cloverleigh Farms series, but it can be read as a standalone. It does mention characters from other books, but if you are a series newbie like me, Harlow provides enough context to understand who they are.
