It is always hard to get into the holiday spirit this early on, but reading holiday romances always helps. This holiday rom-com by Piper Rayne is a perfect early read if you want to turn your inner Scrooge into a holiday-loving elf.

Kenzie's blind date is terrible. Sure, she is dressed like a Christmas elf in a middle of a fancy restaurant, facing a gorgeous man in a well-fitted suit, but she has a good reason! He was not impressed, however, and has now moved on to acting like a jerk by dissing her favorite holiday.

She ends up ditching him, thinking it would be the last she sees of him, but it turns out that Andrew is closer to her circle of family and friends than she would like. Now her brother's best friend is asking him to do him a favor that could help him get ahead with his job. Will the constant proximity change her mind about this Grinch?

I adore Kenzie and Andrew. Even with their adversarial start, their chemistry is just sizzling. Their relationship's arc was a joy to read along. Piper and Rayne did a phenomenal job in creating a deep connection over the things that make them who they are.

Also, Andrew! ::fans self and clutches pearls:: Sir, you did not have to do us readers like that in that first spicy scene.

This book can be read as a standalone, even though there are brief cameos by characters from Piper and Rayne's book collection.

If you are looking for a fun read to get you into the spirit, this is definitely a must-pick for you.

That last one is big for a girl like me who thinks that the entire month of December should be a national holiday. So, when he calls for my help in planning his firm's holiday party, I can't pass up the opportunity to grow my small business. Bonus, we make a deal, and he agrees to attend three-holiday events with me so I can make him fall in love with Christmas. As if I'd pass up an opportunity to make a Grinch's heart grow three times its size.

It isn't long until I discover Andrew has a very real reason to hate Christmas and I start to see him in a different light. That's when the Christmas miracle begins.
