BOOKWORM REVIEW: Quarterback Sneak by Kandi Steiner

Holden Moore only had one focus, and it was football. That is until Julep Lee walked into his locker room and invaded his life.
Unfortunately, she is off-limits for North Boston University's QB1. Her dad happens to be Holden's new coach, and Coach Lee has said again and again that anyone in the team who dares to breathe in Julep's direction will be warming the bench.
It shouldn't be a rule that Holden has a problem following, but he cannot seem to look away from the athletic training intern. It is made even worse when she and her pole moves across the street from him and within the view of his bedroom window. Can he keep his rule-following streak, or will NBU's captain succumb to this attraction to the forbidden?
I absolutely adore these two. Life deals with severe adversities, and Holden and Julep take them on with maturity and grace. Kandi Steiner always does a phenomenal job of building chemistry and tension, and we get that in spades between our two main characters with small but precise details.
And the sexy moments between these two are sizzling. All I can say is one word: WINDOW.
For sports romance fans, we get a nice blend of romance and sports action. Steiner definitely knows football, and it shines in this series, especially this read.
This book is the third in the Red Zone Rivals series, but it can be read as a standalone. Characters from previous books are definitely present, but new readers get enough details to understand who they are. As someone who has read the entire series so far, however, I definitely recommend starting with A Fair Catch. The entire ensemble -- except you, Kyle -- is a fantastic fictional example of a family that one builds for themselves.
