BOOKWORM REVIEW: Apollo by Carly Spade
Laurel Berg is not impressed. The Apollo Suns, especially its front man Ace, might be the next best thing, but Laurel is not the least bit interested. So when Ace becomes involved with a major project at the ballet company she works for, she tries to stay away from the charming rock star.
Ace is intrigued. Every man and woman he has met has fallen for his sunny personality, except for Laurel. Now he is pulling all stops, including his godly powers as Apollo, to get closer to the ballerina.
Nothing gets me going like fantastic enemies-to-lover banter, and this book was spot-on. I love that Apollo had to grovel for Laurel's good graces. Their chemistry is definitely based on unresolved tension, and the resolution was fun to witness through the pages.
If you enjoy modern takes on Greek Mythology, this series is a must-read for you. This book can pass as a standalone, but why wouldn't you want to enjoy the entire Contemporary Mythos saga?
ABOUT THE BOOK
But when the company director announces Ace, frontman of the band Apollo's Suns would have a special appearance in their new production, she had no idea she'd be amidst the King of the Muses himself.
And when magical things start happening, things she can't rationally explain, she'll discover there's more to rock star Ace than an ego the size of Mount Olympus and a dazzling smile that could put the sun to shame.
