This was a phenomenal ending to a fantastic series!
Spider has vowed never to love again. After his heartache from losing Riley in Savage Hearts, he has built a steel fort around his heart, and to secure his loveless future, he has agreed to an arranged marriage with one of the Italian mob's daughters.
Reyna is doing everything she can to protect her niece from this unexpected arrangement. What she also did not expect is the sizzling attraction to the Irishman that she cannot seem to suppress.
What a complicated tangled web, and I loved every page of it. From the get-go, there was this delicious "I don't want to like you" animosity between Spider and Reyna that made you want the spicy scenes to start kicking in. The tension-building is strong in this one, but boy, was the payoff so, so, so worth it.
What I have loved about this series is that you're really just along for the ride. J.T. Geissinger takes you on a whirlwind experience that will have you squealing and crying and laughing, and when the words "The End" come too soon, it leaves you craving to do it again.
While this read can be a fantastic standalone, the series itself is so worth your time. It also builds this sympathetic longing for Spider's happily ever after, especially when you've met him in Book Two. I am so sad that this series has come to an end, especially since I have gotten so invested with these characters.
