BOOKWORM REVIEW: Broken King by Bella Matthews

I have always adored Scarlett Kingston from previous books in the Restless Kings and Kings of Kroydon Hills series so I was super-excited when Bella Matthews announced that her story was coming soon.

And it absolutely did not disappoint. 

Scarlett's one-night stand with Cade St. James came with a nine-month surprise. While she is dealing with this unexpected delivery from the proverbial stork, she has also been appointed by her siblings to spearhead the acquisition of the local NHL team and to eventually become its President if the buy goes well. Meanwhile, not only is Cade trying to convince her to put herself and her health first for the baby's sake, he is also hoping that she will give their relationship another chance.

I've always admired Scarlett's self-confidence and drive. She was unapologetically ambitious, and it is a close tie between her and Max on who's the scariest Kingston. She is also loyal and caring when it comes to her siblings.

Her match held a high standard for me, and Cade St. James ticked every box. Built like an alpha with a kind and gentle heart, he was the soft touch that Scarlett needed.

Of course, it wouldn't be a Kingston book with the entertaining sibling banter. I just adore how they are ride-or-die for each other but are willing to admit what is best for their sister.

This has been one of my favorite series, and it continues to be so. While I am sad that we finally have Scarlett's story, I am looking forward to the rest of the Kingstons to fall madly in love.
