They might drive you bananas with their antics, but this couple is too cute not to love.
Daisy is tired of ho-hum wedding proposals, so when one of her brothers asks for her help to propose to his girlfriend, she wants to do the best she can to help him. After all, she works for a wedding planning business; she should be able to rock this, right? Right?
Well, she and her friends recruit the help of their husbands and their bachelor friends, including Xander. Daisy and Xander have been at odds before because of a previous encounter that led to him yelling at her and Daisy stomping off. Things don't change much as the grumpy former military always seems to bring out the angry side of normally sunny Daisy. Why is that food always comes flying when these two are around?
This book was very cute. Though Daisy and Xander bicker, those scenes play out like an adorable rom-com. Xander is a broody anti-hero who is an actual softie, and there's more to the adorable Daisy than just a nice pre-school teacher/wedding planner. And while these two may think they bring the worst out of each other, they -- and we -- find that it is actually the opposite.
This is the latest of the Meet Me at the Altar series, but it can read as a standalone. Samantha Chase does a great job in introducing and integrating characters from previous books.
