BOOKWORM REVIEW: Dirty Little Secret by Ivy Arnold

TW: rape fantasy, dubious consent

Holly needs better friends. During a game of truth-or-dare, Holly was dared to text her dirtiest fantasy to her ex without knowing that one of her friends changed Nick's phone number to a random guy in Holly's contact list.  It could have been definitely worse than sending dirty texts to Nick's dad Andrew, but I still cringed for Holly when she found out.

This error in judgment by Holly's friends led to more dirty exchanges between Holly and Andrew that eventually transitioned into real-life interactions.

Dubious consensual roleplay and significant age gap are beyond my reading comfort zone, but Ivy Arnold does a great job in having Andrew create a safe space for Holly to play out her fantasies. While the Mom in me wants to tell Holly to find a guy closer to her age, Andrew was definitely an upgrade to his idiot sandwich of an offspring.
