BOOKWORM RE-READS: Royally Screwed by Emma Chase
🥧 Their relationship started with a pie in the face. I mean, the hero totally deserved it after being drunk and rude. So begins the magically and oh-so-filthy love story between Prince Nicholas and Olivia.
😡 Nicholas is a curmudgeon dealing with the pressures of running a kingdom. He is in the United States, trying to track down his more carefree brother.
😅 Olivia is a smart wit with an equally sharp tongue who won't take any of his crap. She is also dealing with the stresses of keeping her mom's pie shop in business.
I know "The Prince and Me" trope can be overdone, but what I loved about this book was the character development. Nicholas isn't your typical "stuck-up, spoiled prince" sent away to gain some sense of responsibility. Olivia isn't starstrucked with his wealth and power, either. I love their banter, and their chemistry was 🔥🔥off the charts🔥🔥.
